Trust Cap: More Workings

Trust Cap: More Workings

IMG_3173Yesterday I tea dyed a piece of the fabric I have for Cap’s face. I needed it to be basically one shade darker to imply shadows/dimensionality. I’m pretty pleased with the way it turned out. (And yes, I heat set it and washed it already so no tea will be coming out of this thing in the future.)

IMG_3179I basically just let it sit in cold tea for two hours. Tea is a lovely stain.

IMG_3176IMG_3177Then I finished sewing up all my drunkard’s paths for the cloud that goes in the bottom right corner. I really suck at curves! Although these were my first curves beyond the Cap shield I did last week. These are a complete mess, but so is pretty much everything on this quilt. It definitely wouldn’t win any awards for craftsmanship! It will hopefully, however, be so rockin’ that no one (including me!) will care that the points don’t match and the seams are screwy.
